Why is it so important that you feel empowered everyday? In today’s society why are more and more women feeling lost, losing their identity and feeling undeserving and unworthy inside themselves? Why are so many of us struggling internally?
These questions, I have been surrounded with when I speak with many women, from Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y. It seems somewhere along the way we lose ourselves in today’s society. We lose our focus and our passion.
As the economy shakes our world upside down – I think it is wrong to place all of the blame for our problems on money (although it plays a part in our troubles) It is not the main cause for our struggles. Internally we are struggling, with the desire to do more and be more – but for most of us this is just not as simple as snapping your fingers and waa-laa. It requires a change in perspective, a step back from everything you have in your life, it is about re-discovering who you are at this day and time. It is about exploring yourself as a women, uncovering all the hidden depth within your soul and re-defining your purpose in life.
Now if that wasn’t too heavy for you than – that is great ha-ha. But everything I have said above – is hard. It is hard to focus attention and to work onto yourself – especially when you have children, working 2 jobs just to get by, a partner, work events to attend to, body image, insecurities, health concerns, family problems, your childhood issues, regrets, the past… the list goes on.
But my question to you is – if you do not find a moment in time to reflect and re-define yourself – when will you inspire change? When will you feel empowered and in control of your life, your home and your environment?
